OH, WHAT A SAVIOR - - song

This song is one of my favorites.  My baritone voice does not have enough range to do it justice.  I searched for an example of the song on YouTube, and think this one may be the best presentation.  YouTube also has a video of Ernie Haase singing this with The Cathedrals when he had been with the group only 2 weeks.  Enjoy!

       Ernie Haase & Signature Sound              Oh, What A Savior

OH, WHAT A SAVIOR                       (1948)   (See "W")
                         W & M by Marvin P Dalton    Key:  C                        4/4

1. Once I was straying in sin's dark valley,
No hope within could I see;
They searched thru heaven, and found a Savior,
To save a poor lost soul like me.

CHORUS:
O what a Savior, O hallelujah,
His heart was broken, on Calvary;
His hands were nail-scarred, His side was riven,
He gave his life blood for even me.

2. He left the Father, with all His riches,
With calmness sweet and serene;
Came down from heaven, and gave his life blood,
To make the vilest of sinners clean.

3. Death's chilly waters, I'll soon be crossing,
His hand will lead me safely o'er;
I'll join the chorus, in that great city,
And sing up there forever more.

Rev 21:3   And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.
4   And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
